Francesco Stelitano

Mumbaikar (notes from an economic power)
I used India’s financial capital as a case study to explore how economic progress means transforming people into consumers instead of providing them with a basic infrastructure and decent living conditions.

Francesco Stelitano was born in Sarzana, Italy in 1982 and grew up near Florence. There he developed an interest in art and visual communication in high school. He received a BA in Multimedia Arts from the Academia di Belle Arti in Carrara and started his photographic career doing still life. However, documentary photography is his main interest.
