Marco Pavan

After Jugo (Sarajevo, the life of a generation)
www.afterjugo.com
This is a multimedia project that describes the current life of young people in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina following the break-up of Yugoslavia. In a series of video interviews and portraits I talk to nine young people, who each describe their life in the city and talk about their future. They are ‘in-between’. They remember the last war well, but they didn’t fight in it and now they want to move forward.

Marco Pavan grew up in Treviso, Italy. He currently lives and works in London. His parents gave him a deep passion for travelling, discovering the Other, and the passion for Art, in the multiplicity of its forms. He graduated in Communication Studies from the University of Padua, where he got more interested in journalism, focusing on radio broadcasting and mass media. Since then, he has been working as a freelance photojournalist, mainly for Italian magazines and peacereporter.net,
an online daily that publishes world news.
