A joke dancing over catastrophes *
This is a personal journey retracing the path of my father’s escape from communist Hungary in 1973. I explore the often comical history of my family and what effect my father’s story had on my own life.

Graduating with a BA in History focusing on Central Asia and the Middle East, Julianna Nagy went on to work in grassroots, small-business development with artisans in Morocco. As a documentary photographer she hopes to continue to work in development, using photography as a tool to spread vital information and help communities better understand the world around them. Julianna is an American of immigrant parents and is currently living in London.
