Finis Terre
This project explores the line between myth and reality. The images evoke the world of superstition and folklore that created and continues to sustain Galician culture. Finis Terre is a reflection of mankind’s interaction with nature through creation and destruction. I believe that the myths are an essential part of the history and the identity of any culture because there are still cultures where myth is part of reality.

Marta Moreiras was born in Galicia on the Atlantic coast of Spain in 1981. She lived in Madrid for seven years where she combined Media and Communications with Philosophy. In 2007 she moved to Barcelona to continue her photographic education while working as a press and documentary photographer for Spanish NGOs in India and Senegal.
Marta is currently living and working in London.
