Cowgirl dreaming
I have studied the cowgirl from a personal perspective, who I see as the embodiment of the American dream. I am drawn to stories which question masculinity and femininity. Photojournalism and documentary photography are my greatest passions.
Kirstine Fryd is a Danish born photojournalist. She has a special interest in North American identity and minority cultures and received an MA degree in Journalism in 2007. Over a period of three years she studied photography, film, and anthropology in Canada and the United States at Ryerson University in Toronto, Concordia University in Montreal, and Whittier College in Los Angeles. She has been working as a picture editor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denmark and assisted on a documentary production in the Arctic Canada.
